III Advantages of flexographic ink printing at present, gravure printing process and solvent based ink are widely used in the production of plastic flexible packaging materials in China. Benzene based solvents such as toluene and xylene are toxic to a certain extent, but they are dilution solvents for gravure printing ink with good process performance and low price. Therefore, they are widely used in production. For example, the standard of benzene solvent residue in packaging materials in China is ≤ 3mg/m2, while the American standard is ≤ 1mg/m2. Developed countries such as Europe and the United States have stricter restrictions on the residue of harmful substances in food and pharmaceutical packaging. In their specifications, the packaging is treated as a whole, and the components or processes are no longer distinguished.
